House Hunting, but not Relocating?

I am currently looking for a house! But not one to live in! In Cross Heath or Knutton, an area I am discovering is steeped in history.

I am inviting the local community to identify a house where previous residents are known, perhaps a house passed down through the generations of a family? I will be using this abode’s history to create a ceramic sculpture, which will be on display, at various locations in the local community.

Those who generously donate their memories will be given part of the sculpture at its final showing, their stories immortalized in clay. The sculpture will, after this event, be incomplete.

Louise Wood

I shall be thirty-eight in two days time! And I have two children! I work everywhere, come from Somerset, and live in Lancashire. I have had the privilege of working in diverse communities, with the young, the old, and the marginalized. I make artwork which embraces the history of ‘not famous’ people, and re-tells stories which reveal insights into a place.
